Vendor registration for the 2027 Obscura Paracon is now open. Booths are reserved only after the registration form is completed and payment is successfully processed.
Vendor Registration Information and Important Policies
The information below summarizes important vendor policies. Complete terms and conditions are included in the registration form and must be accepted and electronically signed before registration is completed.
- All vendor spaces are priced without tables included.
- Tables may be rented for $15 per table.
- Up to two chairs are included at no charge. Additional chairs are $5 per chair.
- Each vendor space includes two admission passes. Additional passes must be purchased at the door or through the official website ticket form.
- Vendors may not hang anything on the convention room walls. Vendors must provide their own freestanding support systems for signs, displays, banners, or other materials.
- Electricity can be routed to all vendor spaces at no additional cost. Vendors must bring their own extension cords. Electrical cords in the center room will be routed from outside walls and covered in walkways.
- Tablecloths are not included with the vendor space. Vendors must provide their own table coverings.
- Displays, merchandise, signs, and equipment must remain within the assigned vendor space and may not block aisles, exits, fire equipment, or neighboring booths.
- Vendors must keep their booth staffed during public event hours and may not begin dismantling or loading out before the announced closing time without prior approval.
- Vendor spaces may not be sold, transferred, shared, or sublet without prior written approval from Obscura Paracon.
- Vendors are responsible for complying with all applicable laws, permits, licenses, product requirements, and sales tax obligations related to their merchandise, services, and business activities.
- Vendors are responsible for securing their merchandise, equipment, money, and personal property.
- Obscura Paracon may require immediate correction of any rule violation and may remove a vendor without refund for unsafe conduct, harassment, illegal activity, material misrepresentation, or continued failure to follow event policies.
- If the event is postponed, vendor registration will transfer to the rescheduled date. If the event is canceled by Obscura Paracon and is not rescheduled, vendor fees will be refunded.
- A discounted hotel block is available at Red Roof Inn and Suites of DeKalb, Illinois. Call 815-758-8661 and request a room under the Obscura Paracon block.
- OPTIONAL AUCTION PARTICIPATION: Vendors may express interest in donating an item, service, or gift certificate to the Obscura Paracon Charity Auction, consigning item or items to the Obscura Para-Auction conducted through Peculiar Lot Auctions and Estates, or participating in both. Auction participation is optional and separate from booth registration. Charity donations and Para-Auction consignments are subject to review and acceptance. Additional item information and, when applicable, a separate consignment agreement will be required.
- NO CONTACT / NO SHOW POLICY: Vendors who fail to appear for the event without notifying Obscura Paracon may be excluded from participating in future Breaking Fate Entertainment events. Vendors who become unable to attend for any reason must contact the event organizers as soon as reasonably possible. Documented emergencies and exceptional circumstances may be considered at the organizer’s discretion.

All space is sold on first come / first serve basis.
Single day spaces are not available.
All vendors must be loaded in during load in times – do not be late.
Vendors may not load out early without first clearing it with convention producers.
Vendors can bring in food from outside the venue, but are asked to keep it from general view of convention patrons.
